"The revision in rating takes into account the continuing pressure on the profitability of the company arising out of the sluggish demand and the high degree of competition facing theindustry," Crisil said. It has also downgraded the fixed deposit progamme of Torrent Cables, while the NCDs of Shreyans Industries Ltd were downgraded to default category. The downward revision of the rating of Torrent takes into account TCL's deteriorating financial position, it said.
