HOCL registers 5.85 growth

MUMBAI: Hindustan Organic Chemicals Limited HOCL has registered 5.85 per cent growth in sales for 1998 at 1.85 lakh tonnes and improved production by 7.19 per cent to 2.8 lakh tonnes. A press release from the company, attributed the improved performance to introduction of management audit systems, organisation studies, performance monitoring and internal control. It said the raw material cost per tonne of production was also down by 12.22 per cent, while consumption of utilities was down by 2.84 per cent.
