
UK healthcare team in India
MUMBAI: A 25-member delegation from the British healthcare industry will be visiting India from October 12 to October 17 to explore joint venture and collaboration possibilities. The delegation comprises representatives from 23 healthcare firms, the Department of Trade and Industry and the Association of British Healthcare Industry. It will be led by John F Fulford, chairman of Euomedica Plc of Europe. The delegation will visit Mumbai, Hyderabad, and New Delhi, an Indo-British Partnership release said.
Nalco attains zero-debt status
MUMBAI: The National Aluminum Company Limited NALCO has discharged its last foreign currency loan of 20 billion yen to achieve zero debt status. In a release here, the company said its working capital needs and capital expenditure were being met entirely out of internal resources.
The company8217;s major expansion and diversification plans involving an outlay of Rs 3727 crore and Rs 186 crore respectively would also be met largelyout of internal accruals, and the balance through ECBs or GDRs.
Re recovers
MUMBAI: The rupee recovered and ended four paise higher against the US Greenback on the forex market today. The currency opened marginally lower at Rs 42.41.42, moved further downwards in the morning as SBI started heavy dollar buying. It touched the day8217;s low of Rs 42.46/47. Finally, it closed at Rs 42.35/36 Rs 42.39/40.
