Indian Rayon net risesMUMBAI: Aditya Birla group company Indian Rayon has recorded a marginal increase in net profit at Rs 10.21 crore during the second quarter ended September 1999 against Rs 9.76 crore in the previous quarter ended June 1999. Figures for the last year was not comparable with those of the quarter ended September 1999. Indian Rayon has recorded a turnover of Rs 280 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 1990, against Rs 275 crore in the previous quarter. The company's gross profit stood at Rs 29.92 crore as compared with Rs 29.42 crore, the release added. Balanced schemes have become the flavour of the current season, with Birla Mutual Fund and Prudential-ICICI collecting around Rs 500 crore from their recently closed balanced schemes. The balanced fund from Sun F&C will invest 60 per cent of itscorpus in equity and the balance in debt. The scheme will have a dividend plan and a growth plan.
