
Saini to head Intel India
MUMBAI: Avtar Saini has joined Atul Vijaykar to lead Intel8217;s South Asia operations. An Intel press release said, the two would jointly manage activities for the next few quarters and Atul would relocate to the US by mid-2000. Saini has been with Intel for 17 years and was appointed vice-president of the Computing Enhancement Group in 1997. In the separate announcement, the company said it had introduced two new Pentium III processors at 600 MHz and 533 MHz and a chipset targeted at the mainstream performance segment of the personal computer market. Both new processors support the faster 133 MHz bus speed.
Research Intl launches retail Ramp;D
MUMBAI: Research International India, part of the Research International group, which has its headquarters in London has announced the launch of its retail research division. It has developed a number of research techniques tailored for the retail sector in India. These are used in evaluating new retail propositions, site andstore evaluation surveys, customer profile and satisfaction studies.
