PATNA, Feb 15: RJD chief Laloo Prasad failed to live up to his threat to paralyse the functioning of the state administration in protest against the dismissal of his government and there was lukewarm response to his call to observe Bihar bandh.
Despite his theatrics and attempt to keep the administration on toes, Laloo Prasad could not match the administration8217;s strategy to foil his bandh call.
Barring some minor incidents of clashes between the bandh supporters and police, the life was by and large normal throughout the state. Even the Patnaites did no respond enthusiastically to his call and preferred to come out on streets in full strength. Though the government offices registered full presence, the shops and establishments in the vulnerable areas preferred to down their shutters out of the fear of being attacked.
On a day full of high pitch drama and theatrics, Laloo Prasad even failed to carry all his 72 ministers alongwith him while courting arrest near Raj Bhawan.
