
Here8217;s more bad news for the Congress from the Uttar Pradesh. While Mayawati, after keeping the Congress on tenterhooks for over two months, ruled out any tie-up, Mulayam Singh Yadav, party8217;s ally in the state, said his Samajwadi Party would have no truck with the Congress.
At her Mahapardafash Rally in Lucknow, the BSP chief blamed the Congress for sailing in two boats 8212; by continuing support to Mulayam government while currying favour with her party 8212; in the state.

She said that for her party, the Congress, the BJP and the SP were all enemies and the party would ensure that their candidates face defeat in the coming elections. Blaming the Congress for failing to secure an alliance, she said even though Mulayam 8216;8216;stalled8217;8217; Congress president Sonia Gandhi from becoming the Prime Minister in the past, her party is still continuing its support to the UP government that has come into being with the BJP8217;s support.
Few hours later, SP general secretary Amar Singh was alleging that the Congress had given an edge to the BJP by declaring yesterday that it may withdraw support from the Mulayam government. 8216;8216;Ek taraf BJP se ladai aur doosri taraf samarthan-vapsi,8217;8217; he said.
In Fatehpur, his party chief, Mulayam Singh Yadav hit back at the Congress by accusing it of 8216;8216;vacillating8217;8217;. 8216;8216;The Congress should state if it wants the BJP to form a government in the state or another election by toppling my government,8217;8217; he said.
