NBRI hosts flower show

Specially cultivated, carefully nurtured and proudly displayed – sums up the essence of Chryssanthemum and Coleus show 2008 organised at National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow. Multi-coloured flowers, their pleasant scent wafting in the air left the connoisseurs hypnotized by their beauty.

Scientist, Head Botanic Garden and Floriculture S K S Rathore Dutta said total of 122 exhibitors participated in the show, and a total of 885 entries have been received.

Pominent winners are:

King of the Show: Mahmood Ahmed from Shahjahanpur.

Queen of the Show: Lt Gen HS Pana

Prince of the Show: Head quarters, Central Command

Flower of the Year: DRM, NE Railways

Best Coleus specimen of the show: Lt General HS Panaj
