Bangladesh panel visits ONGC workshop

A brief presentation of the technical capabilities of the central workshop and the ongoing exercise for the award of the ISO 9002 were made to the delegation. The workshop, one of the biggest in providing oil field equipment repair facilities in Asia, was established in 1964. With 600 employees, the workshop caters to requirements of all major repairs of the Western region and critical repairs of all other regions.

The ONGC has won a petroleum exploration contract in Bangladesh amid stiff global competition from major petroleum companies for oil and gas exploration in Bangladesh. ONGC is sending drilling equipment and crew to start exploratory efforts in Bangladesh. The delegation expressed immense satisfaction with the technical capabilities and the set-up of the central workshop, Vadodara.

Onam Celebrated: All ranks of 811 Engineering Regiment, ONGC Territorial Army celebrated Onam on September 4 with religious fervour and gaiety. A community lunch of South Indian cuisine was also served at the unit premises.
