Bag designer Malini Aggarwal sums up the philosophy of the accessories’ universe, “You don’t have to be a size zero to carry a great bag.” She recently launched her first store, Malaga, at Select CityWalk, with trendy, bejewelled bags in wild motifs and lots of bling. The launch was accompanied by a fashion show, and had models flaunting her recent line. They sashayed in golden dresses, with handcrafted bags studded with real gems and an occasional touch of gold with jadau work, mirrors or threads. Some designs had a vintage look, but with a contemporary, global feel. Made of leather, some bags were also embossed with graphic Mughal prints. The prices range from Rs 5,000 to Rs1 lakh.
