Badal8217;s gym at whose expense?

CHANDIGARH, Nov 4: The Punjab Pradesh Congress has strongly objected to the construction of the Rs 14 lakh gymnasium and an additional committee room at the official residence of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.

Interestingly, the Department of General Administration has written to the Drainage Department, objecting to the construction as this is not the job of the Drainage Department.

PPCC chief Amarinder Singh today said the Badal government was squandering money at a time when the state government was facing resource crunch.

The General Administration Department has sought clarification whether approval was taken from the Chandigarh administration for making the additions at the official residence of the Chief Minister and by whom the orders were issued.
