AIDS workshop

CHANDIGARH, Oct 15: Regional level workshop of AIDS and healthy life style for NSS key functionaries was inaugurated here at Punjab University.

While inaugurating the workshop, Minister for Science and Research and Technology, Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal, said that there was a need to bring drastic change in the education pattern making healthy life style education as educational curriculum. Dr Kanchan Kapoor from Government Medical College, Sector-32 delivered lecture on educating youth on sexual health and promoting positive attitude and healthy life style among students.

The safe blood transfusion and role of NSS volunteers was the main topic of discussion. Dr J.G. Jolly, former Prof. PGI answered the questions on the issue and illegal practices going on in the country.
