CHENNAI, MAY 6: In an expected move, the AIADMK executive committee which met today ratified the expulsions of three senior leaders 8211; Karuppasamy Pandiyan, S Raghupathy and Sedapatti R Muthiah.

A resolution which was passed to ratify the expulsions also gave its approval to any further action proposed to be taken by party general secretary J Jayalalitha.

SALE OF PROPERTIES: The executive committee endowed the party general secretary with full rights to handle the party properties with a view to assisting the party8217;s growth. It pointed out that the party8217;s properties had increased after Jayalalitha took over as the general secretary. This comes in wake of the allegations by the expelled leaders that attempts were made to sell the Safire theater. The executive committee said that the party general secretary was at liberty to sell any property for the development of the party.

CONDEMNS CENTRE: The Executive committee condemned the Centre for its refusal to rollback the price hikes of various commodities. It also condemned the State Government for not condemning the hikes effected by the Centre.

A resolution was passed condemning Prime Minister A B Vajpayee for not inviting the opposition parties to talks on the Sri Lankan crisis. Terming Vajpayee8217;s decision not to invite Jayalalitha as improper, it said that Jayalalitha, as the leader of the main opposition party in the State, should have been invited for talks.

MGR RULE: A resolution was passed to oust the DMK Government in the State and usher in MGR rule8217; under Jayalalitha.
