
CHANDIGARH, Aug 4: The Amateur Athletic Association Chandigarh has selected 41 probables for the state coaching camp in preparations for the North Zone Junior Athletic Championship to be held at Allahabad on August 20 and 21. The athletes were selected during the trials conducted at the Sector 7 Sports Complex here on August 3.
AAAC secretary Ravinder Chaudhary said here today that the selected boys and girls in the age group of under-20, under-18, under-16 and under-14 have been directed to attend the camp which will begin on August 5 at Sector 7 Sports Complex. The selected probables should produce their orignial date of birth certificates.

Girls under-16: Veena Yadav, Mohinderjit Kaur, Pawandeep Kaur, Karamjeet Kaur, Shakshi Sharma, Mukesh Kumari.
Girls under-18: Ramjanjeet Kaur, Pinki Sharma, Manju Sharma, Suman Dalal, Sarbinder Kaur, Rosy Walia, Ramandeep Kaur.
Girls under-20: Sharanajit Kaur, Daya Verma, Jaswinder Kaur.
Boys under-16: Amabir Singh, Harish, Harminder, Rajesh Kumar, Gurpreet Singh.
Boys under-18: Lakhbir Singh, Jatinderbir Singh, Sunil Kumar, Narinder Singh, Mohit Beniwal, Pardeep Deo Singh, Sharaaybhum Malik, Harvind Singh, Gurmeet Singh.
Boys under-20: Mohit Kumar, Jagtar, Lakhbir Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Sunil Yadav, Rakesh Kumar, Malkiat Singh, Gagandeep Singh and Amandeep Singh.
The probables in the under-14 category will be announced after trials in this section is completed.
Shivalik Trophy
Twenty four teams have confirmed their participation in the Inter-School Football Tournament for under-12 for Shivalik Public School beginning at Sector 17 Football Stadium tomorrow, according to CFA AS Bains group ad hoc secretary P S Brar.
In the opening match, Vivek High School Sector 38 will meet Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 28. St Kabir, Sector 26 and Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 20 have been given first round bye. The final will be played on August 12.
Ishwar Memorial
Shivalik Public School, Sector 41 will meet Carmel Convent, Sector 26 in the opening match of the inaugural Shriman Ishwar Singh Memorial Basketball Tournament at the IS Dev Samaj Girls Senior Secondary School, Sector 21 here tomorrow at 3 p.m.
According to former international basketball player Sumait Kanwar who is also secretary of the Shriman Ishwar Singh Memorial Education and Welfare Society the second match for the opening day is billed between hosts IS Dev Samaj Girls Sr Secondary and Shishu Niketan, Sector 22 at 4.30 p.m.
Deputy Commissioner M Ramsekhar will inaugurate the meet tomorrow.
