
CHENNAI, JUNE 11: An Air India Airbus A-320 flight, with 172 passengers and crew members on board, made a full scale emergency landing8217; at the Chennai airport in the early hours today following a technical snag8217;.
The passengers and crew were safe, airport sources said.
The pilot of the aircraft,on the Mumbai-Chennai-Singapore sector, noticed a hydraulic failure8217; a few kilometres before it reached the airport here and informed the tower. The flight landed safely under full emergency conditions, the sources said
Air India said the aircraft had been grounded and technicians from Mumbai were being flown in.
