AHMEDABAD, JAN 22: Two peacocks were found dead and 20 others were reportedly in serious condition at the Kolat village near Sanand on Sunday after consuming pesticide-sprayed crop.
According to a postmortem report, the death was because of an insecticide `endosulphan’, which was mixed with the grain, official sources said here today.
Reports said that samples of grain, insecticide and organs of the dead peacocks like liver and viscera have been sent to the forensic science labortary. The other peacocks are under treatment at the veterinay hospital at Sanand, the report added.
