11,934 file for electoral roll entry

KHARAR, June 7: Roopnagar DC Kulbir Singh Sidhu, also the electoral registration officer for the Roopnagar parliamentary constituency, has directed the electoral registration officers of Morinda and Kharar Assembly constituencies to ensure free and fair revision of electoral rolls.

He has asked the SDMs of Kharar and S.A.S. Nagar to accept or reject the claims, objections and corrections received till May 20 after proper physical verification.

According to S.A.S. Nagar SDM Om Parkash Popli, 11,934 persons filed their claims for entry in the electoral rolls till May 20.
