Try this ‘naturally high in protein’ dessert recipe to satiate your sugar cravings

There is nothing quite like delicious desserts on a stressful day, after all ‘stressed’ spelled backward is ‘desserts’, making it one of the best ways to de-exhaust after a long busy day at work and give the much-needed energy boost!

While most of us who are on a strict diet try to refrain from eating sweets due to their high sugar content and calories, it is obvious for us to look for healthier alternatives to satiate our sugar cravings.

If you’re confused as to what to try, give that home-baked desserts a try. One such special recipe is by none other than celebrity fitness instructor Yasmin Karachiwala, who while not practicing Pilates, spills the beans on healthy recipes.

This time around she shared a recipe for chocolate chip truffle, a perfect treat without being too indulgent. “Love these healthy yet tasty chocolate chip cookie dough truffles which are grain free, dairy free, naturally high in protein, and refined sugar-free!” she captioned the post.

Ingredients

*250 grams chickpeas
*1/4th cup of almond butter
*1/4th cup of maple syrup
*1/2 cup of maple syrup
*1/4th tsp of vanilla extract
*1/4th tsp of Himalayan salt
*1/2 cup of almond flour
*Chocolate chips

For coating:
*3/4th cup of chocolate chips
*1 tbsp of coconut oil

*Add chickpeas, almond butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt to a food processor or blender and mix until batter is smooth.
*Stir in the almond flour & choco chips by hand. Add more almond flour if the batter is running.
*Make balls with the dough & place on a tray lined with parchment paper.
*Place in the freezer to harden for 30 to 60 mins.
*Melt the dark choco chips and add coconut oil.
*Dip each frozen ball in the melted chocolate and coat completely.
*Place the chocolate-covered ball back on a lined tray and place in the fridge to harden.
*Refrigerate or freeze until the chocolate hardens, about 15 to 20 mins and enjoy.

Serve the chocolate chip truffles with a cup of hot coffee or vanilla ice cream!
