Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth blessed with baby boy: A timeline of their relationship

A couple of months back, the duo had also shared endearing pictures from Ishita’s baby shower ceremony, featuring their family members. For the occasion, Ishita donned a lavender-coloured Banarasi sari with heavy gold jewellery and glam makeup. “Love Laughter Gratitude Happiness Blessings. This day was everything we could have asked for…Thank you for all your wishes and love. Some moments from the ceremony,” the caption read.

Ishita and Vatsal, who never fail to serve couple goals with their adorable posts on social media, first met on the sets of the TV show, Rishton Ka Saudagar- Baazigar. In an interview, Ishita admitted that the duo were just friends and she liked him as a person when they first met.

“That is how our relationship as friends grew. We kept in touch with each other even after our show ended,” she told TOI earlier. The duo’s friendship soon blossomed into love and they started dating each other. Within six months, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony at Iskcon Temple in Juhu, Mumbai, on November 28, 2017.

Ishita earlier revealed that she was in shock when Vatsal popped the question to her. “We had just started dating. He popped the question to me very early in our relationship. I hadn’t even given a proper thought to it. I took a moment to answer and that was the moment when I realised I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him,” she said.

Married for over five years, Ishita said that she went through a lot of emotions when she found out she was pregnant. She was alone at home and couldn’t contain her excitement. While she wanted to plan a big surprise for Vatsal, she gave him the big news as he came home. “We were just thrilled. Soon after we told our parents. I think it’s one day that I am never going to forget,” she told indianexpress.com.

Vatsal had also opened up about having a baby, saying the couple hadn’t made a conscious decision to have children only after settling in their careers. “Just like marriage is a milestone, having a child is another milestone. Work keeps happening and you continue to work hard, but welcoming our baby will definitely be the beginning of a beautiful new chapter in our lives.”

While Vatsal started his acting career as a child artiste in the TV series Just Mohabbat, and debuted in Bollywood with Tarzan: The Wonder Car, Ishita debuted in Bollywood with Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam.
