In one, she was seen doing chakrasana or wheel pose with admirable ease. For the unversed, the pose is known to be extremely effective to strengthen the legs, arms, spine and abdomen while opening up the chest. It also stretches the shoulders, hip flexors, glutes, and thighs while increasing flexibility.
“Anushka Sharma, pure heart, wide open heart,” Lalwani wrote.
In another, she can be seen doing a wall-supported headstand or salamba sirsasana.

Speaking about the asanas, yoga trainer Ira Trivedi told indianexpress.com that sirsasana or the headstand is an effective pose, and is hence aptly called the king of poses. “It is a powerful yoga asana. In fact, many teachers consider it to be the most important yoga asana due to its amazing benefits. Since it is an inversion pose, all the blood moves from your lower body towards your heart which strengthens the heart, and refreshes the brain,” said Trivedi.
According to Trivedi, since Sharma was seen balancing her weight on the arms and not her head, it can make one feel lighter and in perfect harmony and balance. “It is a beautiful posture for aligning the spine,” said Trivedi.
Who all should do?
All of us should try and do this posture provided there is no pregnancy, period, cervical issues.
This is, however, not the first time Sharma has managed to a headstand. Recall that even during her pregnancy, she gave major fitness goals as she did the headstand with support from Virat Kohli.

“This exercise is ‘hands-down’ (and legs up) the most difficult one,” wrote the Pari actor, while sharing how she continued with her yoga practice throughout pregnancy.
“As yoga is a big part of my life, my doctor recommended that I can do all such asanas that I was doing before I was pregnant barring twists and extreme forward bends, but of course with the appropriate and required support,” she added.
