Priyanka Chopra ‘finally’ drops a hint about her next Indian film on SS Rajamouli’s post
Priyanka Chopra has not been officially announced as the lead in SS Rajamouli-Mahesh Babu's next, but social media is abuzz with speculations, and her comment on the filmmaker's post just adds to it

Earlier this month, SS Rajamouli‘s much-awaited collaboration with Mahesh Babu was finally launched. The film, backed by KL Narayana, is tentatively referred to as SSMB 29 and is expected to be the most expensive Indian film ever. While there are huge expectations about this collaboration, and the fact that Rajamouli has chosen to mount a globe-trotting adventure after he went on a similar one with his previous film, RRR, which won an Academy award, his team has managed to keep things under the wraps about his next. Now, in a hilarious video, Rajamouli has announced the next step of this hugely anticipated Telugu film.
In the video, we can see a smiling Rajamouli cheekily looking at the camera, and putting a lion behind the bars while holding a passport. Notably, this is the same lion’s photo he shared a few weeks back, and captioned it, “This is the King of the Serengeti, captured by Chris Fallows. His name is BOB Junior… Does it ring a bell?” And this video simply carried the tagline, ‘Captured.’ Many deciphered this to be Rajamouli’s way of saying that the film is set to go on floors. What made this post even more special was the responses by Mahesh Babu, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

Mahesh Babu invoked Pandu, his character from Pokkiri, and said, “Okkasaari commit ayithe naa maata nene vinanu (If I have made a commitment, I wouldn’t even listen to myself to change it).” On the other hand, Priyanka commented, “Finally!!!”

Despite the makers not making an official announcement about Priyanka’s inclusion in the project, it has been speculated for quite a while now, and her presence in Hyderabad recently added more fuel to the fire. With her comments today on Rajamouli’s post, it adds credence to the rumours of her returning to Indian cinema after The Sky is Pink (2019). This project will also mark her debut in Telugu cinema.
