Anupamaa: Netizens disappointed with Anuj Kapadia as he asks Anupama for divorce

Fans are divided over the latest storyline of Anupamaa where Anuj Kapadia has asked Anupama for a divorce.

The latest storyline on the popular television show Anupamaa has left the netizens divided. In a recent episode, Anuj Kapadia, played by Gaurav Khanna, asked Anupama, played by Rupali Ganguly, for a divorce. The ongoing drama has left netizens sympathising with Anupama, but a large section of the audience is also rooting for Anuj. The drama kicked off after Anuj lost the custody of his daughter and blamed Anupama for the same. Anupama’s ex-in-laws, the Shahs, who are still a part of her life added fuel to the fire after another character compared Anuj to her ex-husband Vanraj, played by Sudhanshu Pandey.

Viewers were overwhelmed after watching the break-up of #MaAn, as Anupama and Anuj are fondly called by their fans. One of the fans wrote, “#AnujKapadia is in no zone to play a lover now & #Anupamaa is too broken to see it falling apart.”

Another viewer commented on the relationship falling apart and recounted the sacrifices Anuj had made for Anupama. “#AnujKapadia who was standing like a PILLAR for #Anupamaa since last 7-8 months without thinking about himself and also taking responsibility of CA, home and everything, goes down the DRAIN??”

The netizens were quite upset when they saw Anupama begging Anuj to reconsider his decision. “You could have a million reasons. She can understand all of them and find another million reasons. But this IS NOT DONE, #AnujKapadia. She did not deserve this. Nobody does. Pick all your pain & stay away till you find how to deal with it. #Anupamaa #AnujKapadia,” read one tweet. Another tweet read, “When Anu was constantly running behind Anuj to make him talk, she was blamed for not giving him space!! Now when she gave him space for some time, she’s blamed for leaving him alone at home Waah re duniya She has simply become a punching bag!! #Anupamaa.”
