Shooting of Dhanush’s DNS canceled in Tirupati after complaint filed against film unit
A complaint filed against the makers of Dhanush's DNS has halted the shooting of his upcoming film with director Sekhar Kammula.

Dhanush, who is currently riding high on the success of his recent release Captain Miller, has already begun shooting for his next film titled DNS. The movie recently went on floors in Tirupati. However, a complaint was lodged against the film unit claiming that the shooting process was disturbing devotees and the flow of traffic. The authorities have thus canceled the permission to shoot the movie. The project has now hit a roadblock.
Directed by Sekhar Kammula, the film recently went on floors in Triupati, with a pooja ceremony. However, the latest development has left fans wondering if the shoot will continue in the famed hill station or if the makers will have to shift the location.
Reports indicate that the Tirupati Police have revoked the shooting permission granted to the film due to disruptions in traffic flow that led to disturbances to even the commutation of ambulances in the area. Filming commenced in the Albiri area, situated at the foothills of Tirupati Hill. According to reports, other vehicles were diverted to different routes, which resulted in significant traffic congestion, prompting authorities to intervene.
On top of it, plans to shoot near the Govindaraja Swamy Temple in Tirupati faced criticism. Ultimately, all the complaints resulted in the cancellation of shooting permissions. It is a significant setback for the project, as the film is made on a big budget bringing together Dhanush and Telugu star Nagarjuna.
It is rumored that the film is titled Dharavi, and Nagarjuna is playing the role of a gangster. However, the makers are yet to confirm the speculations. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada. Other than Dhanush and Nagarjuna, the movie also has Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarb in important roles. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music for the film.
