Gautam Menon opens up about possibility of Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu 2 with Silambarasan

Silambarasan seems to be having problems with all the producers he works with. It is common knowledge that Simbu and producer Michael Rayappan, who teamed up for the film AAA, had a huge fallout as the actor was allegedly non-cooperative throughout the shoot. He was even issued a red card by the Tamil Film Producers Council. Now, he seems to be having issues with the producer of Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, Ishari Ganesh, as well. And due to which the possibility of Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu 2 is bleak.

Earlier, Ishari filed a case against Silambarasan for not honoring their contract of the actor featuring in a film titled Corona Kumar. It is said that Ishari paid Rs 4.5 crore as an advance to the project, but Simbu refused to do the film. On the other hand, Simbu’s counsel claimed that as per the contract since the film didn’t start within one year, the actor is not liable to return the advance money. They also claimed that the advance amount was Rs 1 crore only.

Looks like VTK 2 will join the list of numerous shelved films of Silamabrasan. He is currently acting in a yet-untitled movie under the direction of Desingh Periyasamy. The film is produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International.
