Shooting of Aamir Khan’s upcoming film PK near the famous Kala Ram temple in Nashik was briefly affected after some trustees of the shrine alleged that the unit had not taken permission. However, the issue was settled immediately after the trustees were told that the film unit had indeed secured the requisite clearance earlier in the month. Khan was present when the incident happened. Apparently, the film-makers had donated Rs.25,000 to the temple, for which they were issued a receipt.
Shashi Kapoor hospitalised
Veteran actor Shashi Kapoor was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital on September 22. The 76-year-old actor had complained of acute cough and breathlessness. Dr Ram Narain, Executive Director of the Hospital, said. “He has been diagnosed with a chest infection. Although he is in the ICU for now, he is stable. We are administering him with antibiotics.” The septuagenarian actor, who had earlier undergone a bypass surgery, has been suffering from a failing health from the past few years.
