It’s Shahid Kapoor who seems to be Excel Entertainment’s choice to replace Saif Ali Khan who was to originally play the title role in Mr Chaalu. The character is a suave casanova and the film, to be directed by Reema Kagti, has Kangana Ranaut playing the leading lady and Pooja Bhatt playing a detective! We messaged producer Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment to confirm the news, but he did not revert. Richa Chadha, who is also part of the project, plays one of the male protagonist’s girlfriend. Mr Chaalu is expected to take off in March.
