Atul Kulkarni is known to be a perfectionist as he goes all out when it comes to his role or character in a film. This time again, the actor has taken lessons in Arabic for his role in Happy Journey, his next Marathi film.
Confirming this, the actor said, “Yes, I have spoken a bit of the language. I spent hours to learn the language as I wanted the diction to be perfect. Shamim Syed, an Arabic language expert, helped me and I even listened to the dialogue and rehearsed for the scene, though it was just one phone call scene. Actually my character stays in Dubai. He has come to India for a short visit when he receives a business call.”
Produced by Sanjay Chhabria of Everest Entertainment, the film, directed by Sachin Kundalkar, also has Priya Bapat, Pallavi Subhash and Siddharth Menon in lead roles. Happy Journey will release in September.

Sushmita’s Bengali debut, a hyperlink movie with interwoven plots

After directing Prosenjeet Chatterjee in almost all his Bengali films, that have made a mark at the box-office, like Autograph, Baishe Srabon, Hemlock Society, Mishawr Rahasya and the latest Jaatishwar that has bagged four National Awards, Srijit Mukherjee is now all set to cast Sushmita Sen in his next. Mukherjee confirmed that Sushmita is making her Bengali screen debut with his film titled Nirbaak. However, Prosenjeet will not be a part of the project, said Mukherjee.
Mukherjee, who is also a writer, lyricist and actor, stated the film is a hyperlink movie about multiple love stories and Sushmita is common in all the stories. Hyperlink cinema is attributed to the character, personal history, twists in the plot, interwoven storylines between multiple characters, jumping between the beginning and end (flashback and flashforward) are also some of the elements. The film will go on floors in July in Kolkata.
Sen was last seen in No Problem in 2010.
