Karan Johar’s next is most likely to be a fun film titled Mr And Mrs Tapori in which Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the lead role,of Mr Tapori. Denying reports that Parineeti Chopra had been confirmed to play the female lead,Chopra’s spokesperson said that Johar had only met her casually and discussed the film. The filmmaker who was keen to make a romantic period film has opted for a light entertainer.

Humaima Bags Shaatir

Pakistani actor Humaima Malick,previously seen in the acclaimed Pakistani film Bol,has been pencilled in as Emraan Hashmi’s co star in Kunal Deshmukh’s Shaatir. UTV produces the film which will release in August 2014. There’s buzz that Humaima will also be seen opposite Sharman Joshi in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s next.

Ratna to play Vivaan’s mother

The latest news on the Happy New Year front is that Vivaan Shah’s mother Ratna Pathak Shah will play his mother on screen too. After Saat Khoon Maaf,where he played the narrator,Vivaan once again plays a narrator in the film. “I’m the film’s narrator,and also playing a technical-expert in the plot,” said Vivaan.
