‘So sorry’: Trevor Noah cancels both Bengaluru shows because of technical issues, reaches late for his own show due to city’s traffic
Comedian Trevor Noah has cancelled both his shows in Bengaluru because of bad acoustics and technical glitches.

Comedian and TV show host Trevor Noah, who recently performed in Delhi, was all set to bring laughter to Bengaluru. However, things didn’t go as smoothly as expected. Trevor Noah took to Twitter to address an unfortunate issue with the sound system that couldn’t be resolved.
The comedy show, which was a part of his Off The Record world tour, was originally scheduled at the Manpho Convention Centre near Manyata Tech Park in Nagavara, Northern Bengaluru. It was supposed to kick off at 7.30 pm, but it started slightly later, around 8 pm. At approximately 9 pm, Trevor Noah shared a tweet announcing the cancellation of the show, citing technical difficulties as the cause. Trevor Noah assured his fans that they would receive refunds for their tickets.
Taking to his X (Formerly Twitter) handle, Noah wrote, “Dear Bengaluru India, I was so looking forward to performing in your amazing city but due to technical issues we’ve been forced to cancel both shows.”
Dear Bengalaru India, I was so looking forward to performing in your amazing city but due to technical issues we’ve been forced to cancel both shows.

He added, “We tried everything but because the audience can’t hear the comedians on stage there’s literally no way to do a show. We’ll make sure all ticket holders receive a full refund and again I’m so sorry for both the inconvenience and disappointment this has never happened to us before.”
Reportedly, Noah was late for his Bengaluru show because of traffic. People also arrived late due to the traffic jam on the Outer Ring Road. When they finally got in, there were audio issues, and Noah had to leave the stage, making it a disappointing night for everyone. An X user wrote, “Commuters who were stuck in #traffic and also those who were trying to sell the tickets must have been happy hearing this.”
Another said, “Trevor Noah got stuck in Bengaluru Traffic & reached his own show late. People stuck in ORR traffic for 2-3 hours unable to move, sold their tickets on IG/X. Some reached & Trevor cancelled the show cause of bad acoustics. He’s probably already writing jokes on BLR’s traffic.”
@bookmyshow – HORRENDOUS choice of venue for the @Trevornoah show in Bangalore. The audio system was terrible, we couldn’t hear anything, the audience is shouting “WE CAN’T HEAR” desperately. Insanely disappointing experience.

Some folks who had bought two tickets at the original price of Rs 6500 decided to sell them for Rs 5000 while they were stuck in the traffic jam. Meanwhile, another person who was about to board a flight to attend the next show was disappointed when they heard about the cancellation of the event.
That was @Trevornoah saying sound guys can’t figure out how to fix this. I won’t be able to perform like this. Sorry for the situation. He said everyone will get their money back. Just want to add, the venue didn’t even have proper bathrooms. Dei @bookmyshow pic.twitter.com/UXVEyRfNQq

I was at the event and kudos to @Trevornoah for not doing the show. Such a pathetic management by @bookmyshow. A venue with 3k people had ac not working, ppl who paid 4.5k couldn’t hear or see anything. Imagine for such a big venue with flat seating they had a small screen. 1/2 https://t.co/5eiIU3iVLE

Very disappointing. My sister & her husband flew to Bangalore just to watch you. They made arrangements to have their kids stay with their grandparents for a few days just so they could enjoy your show. They were at the venue when they were told about the cancellation. Terrible.
