Snippets: Akshara Haasan to make Hindi debut,Asin in Welcome sequel?

Akshara Haasan is believed to have been approached by filmmaker R Balki,for his next project. Kamal Haasan and Sarika’s younger daughter,who assisted director Rahul Dholakia and also her father on Vishwaroopam,has not faced the camera so far.

Balki is still working on the script for the film. “As of now only Amitabh Bachchan is confirmed,” said Balki.

Richa Chadda plays a lawyer

Richa Chadda will come across in a never-seen-before avatar,in Pooja Bhatt’s Bad. She will be playing a lawyer’s character.

“She will not be seen in uniform as she is still a law student,” said a source. Directed by Prawaal Raman,the movie is inspired by the infamous serial killer,Charles Sobhraj’s sensational jailbreak from Tihar jail in 1986. Though not a biopic,the film’s lead,Randeep Hooda’s character,is inspired by Sobhraj.

Ram Charan Teja Gets Fit

South superstar Ram Charan has taken all steps to prepare for his Bollywood debut,Zanjeer.

The actor,who will be seen in Apoorva Lakhia’s action film flew down a top trainer from Australia and trained four hours daily to get into shape.

Ram Charan Teja has many action sequences in the movie and he worked with his trainer till the wee hours. The film releases on September 6.

Asin likely in Welcome Back

It is very likely that Asin will star in Welcome Back,the sequel to the 2007,Anees Bazmee-directed,Welcome. “Everything is more or less finalised with Asin,barring a few formalities. Once that is done,the production house will make the official announcement. They are waiting for everything to be

on paper before they do that,” said a source.
