Lisa Ray turns travel guide for TLC

Actress Lisa Ray,who recently won her battle with cancer,will turn travel guide for lifestyle channel,TLC.

Actress Lisa Ray,who recently won her battle with cancer,will host a new TV show set against the cultural and contemporary backdrop of India.

To be premiered next year on lifestyle channel TLC,the series will see the 38-year-old star play both host and a travel guide. “I am ecstatic at this opportunity to work with the channel,which has caught the imagination of the people in India. I can’t wait to get started and to enjoy every moment of it,” said Lisa.

To be shot in India’s most exotic surroundings and unforgettable destinations,the programme will explore inimitable aspects of Indian culture as the ‘Water’ star travels through cities. “With a dynamic personality,Lisa Ray will add great value to this incisive,entertaining,and informative tour. This programme is an ingenious attempt to offer unique content and fresh format to TLC viewers,” said Rahul Johri,senior vice president and general manager-India,Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific.

The series is currently under production and will be aired on TLC in India as well as other international markets.

TLC,previously known as Travel & Living,has produced shows like ‘Living With A Superstar – Shah Rukh Khan’,’Indian

Rendezvous’ and the ‘Great Indian Wedding’.
