Here is how Indian farmers can do e-KYC through OTP and benefit with Rs 6,000 under the PM Kisan scheme.
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan) is a central government initiative launched by the Government of India in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare to help farmers meet their financial demands for agricultural inputs and household expenses.
The scheme disburses a total of Rs 6,000 to farmers in India in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 each from April to July, August to November, and December to March.
According to prior release patterns, the PM Kisan 22nd instalment is expected to be allocated between March and April 2026.
In a recent announcement, the government mandated that farmers have an Aadhaar card and do e-KYC to obtain their instalments under the scheme.
It has recently launched an OTP-based eKYC, which is now available on the PM KISAN Portal.
