The Academy shares Deepika Padukone’s ‘Deewani Mastani’ song clip; husband Ranveer Singh has the best reaction: ‘Mesmeric’

Fans celebrated after The Academy’s Instagram page shared a clip from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus starring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.

Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone’s song Deewani Mastani from Bajirao Mastani was featured on the official Instagram page of The Academy. Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film also starred Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra in pivotal roles. Deewani Mastani was crooned by Shreya Ghoshal and was one of the chartbusters.

Sharing a clip of Deepika’s performance, The Academy wrote, “Deepika Padukone performing “Deewani Mastani” (sung by Shreya Ghoshal) from the movie ‘Bajirao Mastani.’ Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.”

Ranveer took to the comment section and praised wife Deepika. He wrote, “Mesmeric!” Fans too rushed to the comment section and penned heartwarming messages for Deepika. One of the users wrote, “The beauty of deepika in this song, I don’t think any other actress would be able to pull this off like her, this will go down as one of the greatest of all time in Hindi Cinema.” Another said, “Thank you for recognising the most beautifully shot song of all time.”

Deepika was one of the presenters at the Oscars last year. The actor introduced the track Naatu Naatu from RRR. She had said, “It’s earned millions of views on YouTube and TikTok. Has audiences dancing in movie theatres all around the world and is also the first song ever from Indian production to be nominated for an Oscar. Do you know Naatu? Because if you don’t you’re about to. From the film RRR this is Naatu Naatu.”

Deepika and Ranveer recently announced their pregnancy. The couple took to their Instagram handle and shared a poster with ‘September 2024’ written on it. On the work front, Deepika was last seen in the film Fighter opposite Hrithik Roshan.
