Shah Rukh Khan says he will buy a plane if Mani Ratnam agrees to work with him again: ‘The way my films are going…’

Shah Rukh immediately responded, “If I buy a plane?” and Mani agreed, and said, “I’ll do it.” The crowd cheered for their possible collaboration, and Shah Rukh added, “Mani, let me just tell you, the way my films are going… this plane is not far away. I’m coming!” But Mani ended the conversation by saying, “I’ll bring it down, don’t worry.”

Shah Rukh Khan had a very successful 2023 with Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki emerging as the three biggest hits of his career. The actor had not had a hit in the theatres for many years until he came back with Pathaan in January of 2023. Collectively, all three of his films collected over Rs 2500 crore at the worldwide box office. At the same event, Shah Rukh acknowledged that he had been through some tough times, professionally as well as personally, in the last few years.

Shah Rukh Khan is yet to announce his next film. In an earlier conversation with MBC Bollywood, Shah Rukh suggested that in his next film, he would be playing a “more age-real” role in his next. He is rumoured to be playing a supporting role in his daughter Suhana Khan’s new film, directed by Sujoy Ghosh. He is also rumoured to be starring in a film directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
