Is Shah Rukh Khan like his Dear Zindagi character Dr Jehangir Khan? According to his close friend and long-time collaborator Farah Khan, very much so. In a throwback video which has surfaced online, the filmmaker-choreographer recalls an emotionally challenging time when she was a mess and Shah Rukh offered her much needed support.
In the video, Farah is heard saying that her father passed away but it as if he sent Shah Rukh to look after her. Farah made her directorial debut with Shah Rukh-led Main Hoon Na in 2004 and went on to work with the superstar in films like Om Shanti Om and Happy New Year.
“I was crying on the phone and within half an hour, you left your shooting… I opened the door, and you were standing outside. You sat with me for one hour and you just talked to me. It was like having the best therapy ever,” she added.
Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan have gone through their ups and down, especially when the superstar got into an argument with her husband, Shirish Kunder. The two eventually patched up. Though Farah and Shah Rukh continue to be close, the duo hasn’t collaborated professionally since their 2015 comedy film Happy New Year.
On the work front, Shah Rukh will be next seen in Jawan, gearing up for a September release.
