Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ to battle it out with Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ on Eid 2016

Salman Khan's 'Sultan' will release with Shah Rukh Khan's 'Raees' on Eid 2016.

Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan Salman Khan will have some competition at the box office next Eid from none other than frenemy Shah Rukh Khan.

Salman Khan, who usually has his films released on Eid, will continue the trend this year with much-anticipated ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and next year with ‘Sultan’ under Yash Raj Films banner.

But, looks like Salman Khan will have some competition at the box office next Eid from none other than frenemy Shah Rukh Khan whose film, ‘Raees’ is confirmed to release on Eid 2016.

Due to much speculation about the film’s release date, producer Ritesh Sidhwani took to Twitter to clarify the same. The ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ producer confirmed that ‘Raees’ would release as per schedule – Eid 2016.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, ‘Raees’ stars King Khan opposite Pakistani newcomer Mahira Khan along with Farhan Akhtar and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The action-thriller is being produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar and Gauri Khan under the banners of Excel Entertainment and Red Chillies Entertainment. Set in Gujarat, ‘Raees’ revolves around a bootlegger whose business plans are foiled by the police. On the other hand, Salman Khan’s upcoming film ‘Sultan’ with Aditya Chopra is making waves before even going on floors. YRF shared the first teaser on Twitter.

The on-and-off foes-turned-friends, Salman and Shah Rukh are sure to make an exciting festive season for fans next Eid. We can hardly wait!
