MHT CET 2026: Aadhaar, APAAR to be mandatory for Maharashtra CET registrations

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, which conducts various Common Entrance Tests (CETs) every year for admissions to professional courses in the state, has announced that Aadhaar and the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) will be mandatory for candidates registering for MHTCET 2026.

According to the MHTCET Cell, the online application forms for the CETs for the academic year 2026 will be made available on the official website of the state CET Cell. All prospective candidates intending to apply for any CET have been informed about the documents required for the registration process.

Candidates must possess a valid Aadhaar (UIDAI) card and ensure that their details are verified and updated wherever required. These details include name, date of birth as per the Class 10 certificate, latest photograph, address, father’s name, and a mobile number linked to Aadhaar, which must be active and updated.

In addition to Aadhaar, candidates are advised to generate their APAAR ID, as it will be required for the registration process. The CET Cell has informed that APAAR will be mandatory for all candidates applying for CET 2026.

For Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates, it is mandatory to upload a Disability Certificate issued by the competent authority or a Unique Disability ID (UDID) card, if available. PwD candidates have also been advised to obtain a UDID card, as it may be required during the Common Admission Process (CAP).

PwD candidates who are eligible to opt for scribes must submit details of two scribes at the time of online application. The details required for each scribe include name, Aadhaar number, recent photograph, bonafide certificate issued by the institution, and highest qualification certificate.

The CET Cell has advised all candidates to regularly visit the official website of the State CET Cell for detailed notifications, examination schedules, and further instructions.
