Aryan Prakash, a 17-year-old Mumbai boy, bagged All India rank 17 in the JEE-Advanced 2024 and is among the top five candidates from IIT Bombay zone. Aryan was expecting a good score based on his tireless preparation. “It is important to keep working till the last day without any hesitation for hard work,” said Aryan.
Aryan loved mathematics and started exploring options. He was sure of taking the engineering route for higher education from Class 8 — when he got to know about various options. This Mumbai boy is delighted as soon his dream of studying computer science engineering at IIT Bombay’s CSE branch will come true. “I worked hard for this,” he said.
Aryan was also among the 100 percentilers in the JEE Main result declared earlier. Apart from studying for 12-13 hours a day, the mantra for success according to him is to have a controlled mind. He said, “It is important to keep calm during exam. If everything is easy, you have to ensure that there is no scope for mistakes in excitement. If everything is difficult, it is important to not panic or else you will lose focus.”
Aryan played volleyball or watched TV during his free time to reduce stress. Now that the JEE Advanced results are out, he is looking forward to having some more free time.
In times filled with distractions, Aryan ensured that he is so busy with the load of preparation and studies that he will not get free time to spend on social media. “My teachers helped me to prepare a busy academic schedule,” said Aryan.
Originally a resident of Goregaon, Aryan along with his family shifted base to Marol in Andheri, very close to his JEE coaching institute – Narayana Junior College. Both his parents, retired officers from the income tax department are from a mathematics background. His mother is MSc in mathematics and his father studied physics. “Their knowledge in mathematics in a way helped me understand the subject so well,” said Aryan adding that their support has been important for him.
