NIRF Rankings 2023 Top management colleges: IIM-A at number 1 position, two IITs in top 10 list

NIRF Ranking 2023 Management College: The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings were released today and like the previous years, the Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) have dominated the B-school rankings with IIM Ahmedabad has once again retained its top spot, followed by IIM Bangalore. However, IIM-Kozhikode has gained the third position and IIM-Calcutta’s ranking falls to the fourth position.

Interestingly, for the first time, three engineering colleges have entered the top 10 list. This year, there are two new entries NITIE, Mumbai at the seventh position and IIT-Bombay at number 10.

IIMs dominate top positions. (Data: Ministry of Education)In 2022, the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) was the only IIT to feature in the top 5 (fourth rank) of the management school rankings.

IIT Delhi was earlier ranked fifth in 2021 and eighth in 2020.

IIM Kozhikode ranked fifth in 2022 with a score of 74.74, followed by IIM Lucknow, IIM Indore, XLRI – Xavier School of Management, and Mumbai’s National Institute of Industrial Engineering at the sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth spots.

However, IIT Madras which usually earns a top spot in overall ranking earned the tenth spot in the business school rankings of 2022. Other than IIT Delhi, IIT Madras is the only other IIT to feature in top 10 B-schools list. IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur had also earned the 11th and 12th spots in the 2022 Management Rankings.
