The research, conducted on foot by visiting the surveyed households, found that despite 35 per cent of household incomes being spent on education, parents expressed general dissatisfaction and helplessness about the schooling experience.
The current batch has an increase in the female candidates, with 23 per cent of the female students registered in 2019-20. Apart from the rise in gender diversity, the current batch is also very diverse in terms of work experience, claims the institute.
NIRF Ranking Best B-school in India: Last year, four out of the top 10 Indian B-schools were IIMs. This year, six IIMs made it the list of top 10 management colleges in India. The Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) has jumped three points from 10th rank last year to 7th position this year.
As many as 139 firms participated with 184 different roles in the placement process at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, (IIM-A) as against the 125 firms that offered 150 roles in 2018. There were 33 first time recruiters.
The placement was held in three clusters where advisory consulting, investment banking and markets, management consulting, consumer services, manufacturing and others participated. In the second cluster, 53 firms participated in the process where Amazon was the top recruiter with 14 offers.
