Chhattisgarh CGBSE Results 2023 declared; meet the toppers

Chhattisgarh CGBSE Class 10th 12th Result 2023 Declared: The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) on Wednesday declared the Class 10 and 12 board exam results. Students who appeared for the exam can download their scores from the official website— cgbse.nic.in, or results.cg.nic.in.

The results were declared by state education minister Premsai Singh Tekam during a press conference at the CGBSE office in Raipur. This year, the overall pass percentage for Class 12 is 79.96 per cent and for Class 10 is 75.05 per cent.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel congratulated and extended warm wishes to the meritorious as well as all other passed students. He said the top ten rank holders in both the board exams will be given helicopter rides. The CM said those students who could not score good marks should not get disheartened and treat the result as a lesson to work hard in future.

He further said he is satisfied to inform that of the 48 students in the top 10 list in Class 10, ten are from Swami Atmanand Schools, which are run by the state government, while out of the 30 students in the top 10 list in Class 12, 5 are from these schools.

Girls outperformed boys this time as well in both Classes 10 and 12. Girls’ pass percentage in Class 10 is 79.16 per cent while boys secured 75.26 per cent. In Class 12, girl secured 83.64 per cent pass percentage while boys secured 75.86 per cent pass percentage. A total of 1,09,903 students secured first division, 1,19,901 students secured second division and 17,914 students got third division. Vidhi Bhosale of Raigarh secured the first rank in Class 12 with 98.20 per cent. Rahul Yadav of Jashpur district topped Class 10 board exam with 98.83 per cent.

In Class 10, a total of 3,37,569 students registered out of which 3,30,681 students appeared for the exam and 2,47,721 students cleared the exam.

A total of 3,28,121 students registered for Class 12, out of which 3,23,625 students appeared for the exam. This year, 2,58,500 students cleared the exam.

In 2022, the CGBSE recorded an overall pass percentage of 74.23 per cent for Class 10 and 79.03 for Class 12. In 2021 the board recorded 100 per cent pass percentage as exams were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic and students were graded on the basis of their performance in online classes. They were graded on the assignments they were given during online classes.
