CBSE Class 12 Board Exam Result: This year, around 16.9 lakh students registered for the Class 12 exams of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). As of now, CBSE has not notified any date for the result declaration. Once released, the students can check their results at the official websites – cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in, cbseresults.gov.in and cbse.gov.in.
This time, the CBSE Class 12 exams were conducted from February 15 till April 5. The duration of exams was three hours, beginning at 10:30 am and ending at 1:30 pm.
In the past few years, CBSE took almost a month to declare the Class 12 results. However, this was particularly in the pre-Covid era. In 2018, exams were held between March 5 till April 12, and the result was declared after 43 days on May 26.
Then, in 2019 there was a dramatic decrease in the waiting time. As compared to 43 days waiting period in the preceding year, in 2019 the result was declared in a record time of 28 days. The exams concluded on April 3 and the result was declared on May 2.
In 2020, the exams were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, after being postponed. In the Covid year, the result was declared on July 13. The exams, according to the CBSE, were cancelled due to requests from various state governments. The decision to cancel the exams was first disclosed in a Supreme Court hearing. Therefore, the result was prepared on the basis of the Internal Assessment Scheme.

The exams were yet again cancelled in 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The result was declared on July 30. Between 2020 and 2021, there was a difference of 17 days in the declaration of Class 12 results. A 13-member committee was formed by the board to prepare the Class 12 results in 2021.
In 2022, the exams were held in two terms, term I was held November – December and term II was held in May – June 2023. CBSE declared the results after 41 days on July 26 which was still 2 days less than pre Covid board exams of 2019 and 2018.
Last year, the exams were held in bifurcated mode, meaning the exams were held in two terms. Term 1 exams were held in November-Dececember and Term 2 Exam in May-June. The pass percentage in 2022 was 92.71 per cent and 14,44,341 students registered for Class 12 exams.
