Bihar Board 2026 Exams: BSEB extends deadline for Class 12th Intermediate online registration

While the last date to register for BSEB Class 12 board 2026 exam is Sepetember 3, the last date for submission of the signed and stamped hard copy of the registered students’ list to the BSEB office has been fixed as September 1, 2025.

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on August 28 has extended the deadline to register for the Class 12 2026 intermediate exams. Students yet to apply and fill the online inter registration and wish to appear in the 2026 board exam can do so by September 3, 2025.

Schools have been directed to complete the process on behalf of students through the official website – seniorsecondary.biharboardonline.com. The registration must be completed along with the prescribed fee. While the last date to register for BSEB Class 12 board 2026 exam is Sepetember 3, the last date for submission of the signed and stamped hard copy of the registered students’ list to the BSEB office has been fixed as September 1, 2025.

In 2025, a total of 12,92,313 students appeared for the exam at 1,677 centres across Bihar. Among them, 6,41,847 girls and 6,50,466 boys registered for the BSEB Intermediate exam 2025. The BSEB Class 12 exams 2025 were held from February 1 to February 15.

In order to successfully qualify the Bihar Board Class 12 exams, students must secure at least 33% in theory subjects, and a minimum of 40% in practical subjects. Students who fail to meet the minimum passing marks will result in students having to appear for supplementary exams.

The overall pass percentage this year was 86.56 per cent. Last year, it was 87.21% and 83.73% in 2023. The pass percentage for the Commerce stream this year is 94.77 per cent, for the science and arts streams, the pass percentages are 89.50 per cent and 82.75 per cent respectively.
