The Pune Cantonment Board (PCB) has awarded the contract for operation of designated parking places in the contonment area to Sai Group Developers. The company was among the six that bid for the contract. The Rs 1.3-crore proposal was cleared last month. The contract is for 12 months. Unlike the Pune Municipal Corporation we have decided to continue with the pay and parking facility within the cantonment area and cleared the bids for this. We will be getting the revenue from pay and parking and will be able to fund the developmental initiatives in the cantonment area, said finance committee member Manzoor Nazir Shiekh. The PCB had received tender documents from private agencies,including Sai Group Developers,D D Constructions,and Nashik Infrastructure Developers Ltd.
