Rucha Kulkarni won the girls Under-17 title and then combined with Anushka Chaphekar in as many age categories to complete a triple crown in the Solaris Club District Badminton Non-Ranking Tournament. Fifteen-year-old Kulkarnis feat was commendable given that she won the singles title in the Under-17 age group beating Vaibhavi Kulkarni,who triumphed in the Under-15 class earlier in the day. Rucha earned another trophy in the Under-15 doubles where she partnered with Anushka Chaphekar. The duo defeated Aditi Mahajan and Sarah Navare 21-15,21-19 to win the doubles title. Later in the day,the pair won against Shefali More and Shivani Sohale,winning 21-8,21-3. Ritu Shah bagged two singles titles,winning the Under-11 and Under-13 age categories. In the Under-11 class,Shah defeated Shruti Sagde 21-19,21-8. Chitra Apte stretched her to the limit in the Under-13 final before Shah rallied to win 20-22,21-11,21-11. In the boys category,Omkar Salkar completed his double crown when he won the singles titles in the Under-15 and Under-17 age categories. Salkar beat Atharva Churi 15-21,23-21,26-24 to win the Under-15 class and then beat Atharva Waval 21-15,19-21,21-10 to take the Under-17 title.
