Garware Motors opens new showroom in city

*GARWARE Motors along with S&T Motors Corporation has launched ‘Garware Superbiking’ showroom in the city at Goodluck Chowk,Deccan to showcase their two new Hyosung superbikes GT650R (650cc Sports bike) and ST 7 (700cc Cruiser bike). The showroom was inaugurated by Mayor Mohan Singh Rajpal in presence of Diya Garware,managing director,Garware Motors and Dr Taekwon Kim,president,S & T Motors Corporation. The newly launched bikes are priced at Rs 4,90,000 for single tone color and Rs 5,05,000 for dual tone color for GT650R. The ST 7 will cost Rs 5,87,000. The bookings for bikes commenced on April 21 and deliveries will start by mid-June.

Oriflame’s expansion plans

SWEDISH cosmetics major Oriflame has announced its plans to scale up its presence in Pune by adding around 5,000 consultants by the year-end. Oriflame India chose to host annual director’s seminar in Pune during which over 500 consultants have been felicitated for their their performance. Marcus Sandstrom,managing director,Oriflame India,said,“Pune is young,vibrant,colourful and an experimental city. It is an important market for us.

M&M rolls out new tractor

Mahindra&Mahindra (M&M) has rolled out India’s first 15 HP tractor – Yuvraj 215- in the city. In a statement,the company said the tractor is fuel efficient, easy to operate and is ideal for farmers with small landholdings. The tractor has a haulage capacity of 1.5 tonnes and is equipped with water-cooled cylinder engine and side-shift gear lever. Sanjeev Goyle,senior vice president,Marketing & Applitrac,(Farm equipment sector),M&M,said,”The new truck is a key part of M&M’s vision to go beyond retailing tractors and focus on creation of farm tech prosperity.”

Patwardhan ISWA president

THE Indian Spa and Wellness Association (ISWA) has appointed Dr Manish Patwardhan,a Puneite,as its first president. ISWA will represent the Indian spa and wellness industry at all forums,and will address all existing concerns of the industry on standardisation,training and education issues on a priority.

Patwardhan said,“The association aims at being recognised as the voice of the Indian spa and wellness industry. Patwardhan is also a member of the Asia Pacific Spa Wellness Coalition.
