Baby’s body found in nullah

The police have initiated investigations into the death of a newborn boy,whose body was found in a nullah at Vikhroli on Thursday morning.

The police have initiated investigations into the death of a newborn boy,whose body was found in a nullah at Vikhroli on Thursday morning. According to the police,the body was spotted by residents of Kannamwar Nagar area. The body was inside a plastic bag,which got stuck. People noticed it after birds started settling on it.They saw legs jutting out of the bag and called police, said Inspector Vilas Chavan.

The baby was taken to Rajawadi Hospital where it was declared dead before admission. Police are awaiting the post-mortem examination report.
