Talking to The Indian Express,Arjun Singh who is also a kabaddi coach with the Uttar Pradesh Police,said,“In the last edition of the championships,the team could not do much as some of our key players were not available but this time it is not so. There are two internationals— Jasmer Singh and Deep Chand in the boys team. Gajinder Pratap,Amit Kumar and Rajeev Kumar are also very talented. The girls’ team has players like Anita Mavi,Priyanka Rai,Geeta Patel,Sanju Kumari and Pinki and among them Anita,Priyanka and Geeta are all internationals.” The team for the North Zone championships will be announced on November 10.

The 3rd World Deaf Badminton Championships are being held at Bucheon city,South Korea. As per the information received following are the results of some matches played on Thursday featuring Indian players. The national coaching camp for the 3rd World Deaf Badminton Championships was organised at Lucknow.

The Results: Mixed Doubles: Vikram/ Suhani beat Daisuke Miyazaki/ Mika Hiwatari (Japan) 21-12,22-20; Rohit/ Mili beat Chen-Hui Liu and Wen Hsauan Tu (Taipei); Jehan/ Neethu lost to Shokhod and Anastasia (Russia); Gaurav A/ Vaishnavi lost to Michael/ Fiona (Great Britain).
