For a change, the usually impassive Arjun Rampal turned an inquisitive scribe at the launch of the Armani fragrance collection. Rampal, natty as always in a striped Armani suit, cheekily asked fragrance expert Axel Denis if wearing an Armani fragrance would made one look like Armani too. Denis, taken aback, blushingly replied,“It’s not supposed to make one look like Armani. Just supposed to make you smell good. The fragrances for men are sportier, and combine masculinity with sensuality.” Rampal, seen often in Delhi when not shooting, dished out some tired rhetoric about his upcoming film Rajniti and adroitly sidestepped some verbal jabs about his ad shoot with Nicole Kidman in Udaipur recently. When a reporter questioned whether he was missing Kidman,Rampal retorted, much to the delight of guests present,“You seem to be missing her more than me.” And he was sore about missing the IPL in South Africa. “I didn’t get time due to my busy shooting schedule, but I will definitely go. All my friends are there,” he said. The fragrances Acqua Di Gio,Armani’s best selling perfume,is pegged at Rs 2,750 for 50 ml and the Armani Privé collection is priced at Rs 9,900 for 50 ml. The fragrances will be available at the Giorgio Armani store at Emporio Mall,Shoppers Stop at Ansal Plaza and Arcelia in Saket.
