Skeleton case: Chargesheet by next week

The CID will file the chargesheet in connection with the recovery of skeletons near the ancestral house of Sushanta Ghosh by next week,the state government told the Calcutta High Court on Monday. The court was hearing arguments on the bail petition of Ghosh,a former minister and CPM MLA,who was arrested on August 11 after being named as an accused in the skeleton recovery case. Arguing for Ghosh’s bail,former advocate general Bolai Roy pleaded that there was a political motive behind his arrest. Public prosecutor said the bail should not be granted at this stage as theinvestigation was still underway.
